This section provides information on questions that are often asked by prospective patients looking for a dentist in Bromley and considering registering with Shortlands. To find out about specific conditions, treatments and to get general dental advice you can call and speak to a member of our team or talk to your dentist during your appoint ment; alternatively there are some great resources available on the British Dental Health Foundation website:

ARE YOU NHS OR PRIVATE?
We are able to accept patients from both the NHS and private dental schemes. Everyone’s welcome at Shortlands!
ARE YOU OPEN EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS?
We offer evening appointments on a Monday and we are open on alternate Saturday mornings.
We also open at 08:00 Tuesday to Friday to help our working patients get an appointment without disrupting their
normal day.
HOW CAN YOU HELP SOMEONE WITH A FEAR OF DENTISTS?
All our dentists are patient, gentle and kind and they will make sure you feel looked after throughout which is the biggest factor in re-building trust and conquering your fears. Hopefully Shortlands’ unique brand of TLC will be enough but if necessary we can arrange an alternative solution to help you get the care you need.
WHAT ARE THE FEES?
Fees vary depending on your treatment and whether you are a private or NHS patient.
Denplan patients are also subject to an alternative fee scheme. Full details of all fees are found on our fees page.
DO YOU TAKE ON NEW PATIENTS?
Yes we do! Simply give call us and we will be happy to arrange an appointment.
DO YOU SEE CHILDREN?
Indeed we do! We really appreciate being given the opportunity to start educating your children on good dental hygiene at an early age and good dental care in the early years is one of the cornerstones of preventive dentistry.
DO YOU DO DENTAL PLANS?
We are part of the Denplan scheme. Denplan offers patients a superb standard of care for a set monthly fee.
Many patients find this reassuring, knowing that most of their dental eventualities are covered.
